If you give it some good thought you could develop some original material so the cliché is not invoked and your words are actually heard. Have a very nice day. Have a nice day. You could say well since i won t be talking to you again today have a good day but that d be weird. Sounds better to say hope the rest of your day is good. Have a good rest on sunday. Or have a nice day.

It s such a lovely day i hope you ll be enjoying the rest of it enjoy a few moments all to yourself today i hope you are planning to add some fun to the rest of your day. Rest as in taking it easy napping. I m not sure if that s the issue here. Hence awkward yet grammatically correct.
