I Don T Feel Like I Belong

And i don t know why i don t feel like i belong anywhere where where where how did i get this so wrong to leave us right here here here the more i cover up my flaws the more they appear i gotta find where i belong ah ah ah everywhere i go don t feel like home even my parents they act like they know guess i have to leave to finally see.

Recently though i ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone and talk to people to try and make friends all it s made me feel is that my worst fears are confirmed and i really don t belong. And if you don t feel understood you won t feel like you belong. Being passionate about unpopular things may make others pick up on your differences and tease you for it. Friends are constantly inviting you to parties and office mates are asking you for a round of drinks and yet you still feel like you re floating aimlessly in an empty universe.

And this can be painful in your awkward childhood and teenage years making you feel like a misfit who doesn t have a place in this world. Any psych book can tell you that human connection is essential for personal well being but finding and fostering those connections can feel impossible when you don t have a sense of belonging. You don t have to start big all it takes is to find things that make you feel alive. It takes courage to remain faithful to god when you feel like you don t belong.

The more i cover up my flaws the more they appear i gotta find where i belong ah ah ah. When you are already feeling disconnected your initial reaction may be to further isolate or escape. I don t feel like i can be completely transparent with anyone except strangers on the internet honestly. Sometimes you feel like you don t belong anywhere because your life lacks meaning.

A differing world view or personality can feel isolating because you may not feel understood. A good way to counter this feeling is to find other people who see the world through similar eyes. Old souls often feel like they don t belong here especially when growing up. Maybe a reason why you feel like you don t belong is because you re just not trying hard enough. I believe with all my heart god has you in just the right place at the right time.
