I Feel Like I Have No Purpose

When you feel like you have no purpose you re.

But these feelings should still be resolved. It might be that you ve just lost a job or your children might have just left home for college and you re unsure how to proceed with your newfound empty nest. The cult of a calling i m using the words life purpose but i could have just as easily used the words passion calling mission statement or any of the other dozens of self help buzzwords floating around these days. Instead of seeking to have it all seek to feel as if you have it all already.

I have no idea what my life purpose should be and i don t think that matters. When people feel like they have no sense of direction no purpose in their life it s because they don t know what s important to them they don t know what their values are. I hate being alone. I like my job and have great friends but sometimes i feel i have no purpose.

Quit weighing yourself down with the need for purpose and your fear of feeling unfulfilled at life s end. It s normal to feel that way especially after experiencing a traumatic life event like divorce or death in the family or being stuck in the same condition for a while such as working on the same job for years. I don t think i m depressed but sometimes i feel that if i died tomorrow it would be a relief. I like my life so i don t know what to do about this underlying feeling of what s the point help.

My mind is wide open i have no set idea of what my next 10 or 20 years should look like. I hate living alone and i hate making all the decisions because i always make the. To this i d like to share a secret. In certain periods of our lives we often feel like we don t have any purpose.

And when you don t know what your values are then you re essentially taking on other people s values and living other people s priorities instead of your own. I m 45 and have a good life. I feel like i have no purpose in life. I wake up and have no real purpose to follow no cause to fight no mission to accomplish.

Another reason you may experience feelings of emptiness is because you re feeling empty over a lack of a purpose. Maybe you can relate to feeling a loss of purpose and it doesn t have to be the end of school. Is this all there is. It strips naked my entire existence.

Feeling empty because you are stuck in a dead end job or live in area where you are unhappy is very common. How can i lead a life of fulfillment again when many days feel without a center or a greater purpose. I was a daughter but both parents are gone. Feeling like you don t have a purpose.
